Empowering Women Leaders at Vistry

Since November 2023, Vistry has partnered with Power Within Training to deliver the Women in Leadership Programme, an SQA-accredited development pathway designed to equip women with the confidence, capability, and strategic leadership skills needed to thrive, progress, and lead within their organisation.

The Programme: Women in Leadership

The Women in Leadership course is an Scottish Qualifications Authority-certified leadership qualification grounded in scientific research from neuroscience and behavioural psychology.

At the heart of the programme is Motivational Intelligence (MQ), the science of understanding why people think, feel, and behave the way they do, particularly under pressure, change, and challenge.

Rather than focusing solely on leadership skills, the programme helps women:

  • Understand their own motivational drivers and stress responses
  • Build self-awareness and emotional regulation
  • Lead themselves before leading others
  • Strengthen confidence, resilience, and decision-making
  • Motivate, influence, and develop others effectively

This neuroscience-led approach enables women to lead with clarity, confidence, and consistency, even in complex or demanding environments.

  • Support sustainable career progression
  • Build motivated, confident and emotionally intelligent leaders
